Eamonn Holmes Names the One Person He Wants to “Punch” Following His Split with Ruth Langsford, Claiming, “He Forced Ruth to Leave Me Even Though I Agreed to Their Affair!”

Eamonn Holmes opened up on GB News about the one person he wanted to punch as he shared his regrets.

Eamonn Holmes has shockingly confessed his urge to “punch” someone after the bombshell news of his split with Ruth Langsford left fans reeling.

The TV duo, both aged 64, sent shockwaves through their fanbase when they announced their divorce in May, amidst whispers of ‘explosive rows’.

Since the split, Eamonn has thrown himself into work, taking the reins at GB News’ breakfast show.

He’s now opened up to viewers about his ‘biggest regret’ following a missed opportunity for a high-profile job in the States.

The veteran presenter, a father of four, reminisced about his impressive career and revealed he was once on the cusp of becoming a quiz show host for Fox TV in America. Eamonn shared his excitement: “They called me and I couldn’t believe it, and I went over to do a daytime version of it. And then three days into it, they changed everything and they said, this is so good, we’re putting this out in the evening.”

He recounted the moment he realised his life was set to change dramatically, telling his wife they’d have to pack up for Los Angeles. Eamonn described the dreamy scenario: “I remember phoning my wife and saying, we’re going to have to move out to California, they really want me here.

“And I’m going down that street with all the palm trees. That’s the way I was going to work in this limo, and I had a bungalow there and a golf cart – it was absolutely incredible.”

However, fate had other plans, and the coveted position slipped through his fingers. Eamonn expressed having “one regret” about how things unfolded after the American dream evaporated, reports the Mirror.

He said: “I really have one regret in my life, that I didn’t punch a guy when I was out there. If I had my life to live again, I would have really satisfyingly been sacked for punching this g*t.

One episode of the show went out and it came fourth in its rating, so it was behind Lost, The Biggest Loser, and that was it, it disappeared. 36 shows or so disappeared, never to be shown again.”

Post his stint in America, Eamonn revealed a cold farewell, with only “one person” acknowledging his goodbye email to colleagues. Anne Diamond, his co-host, commented on the situation: “That’s brutal! It was like you got a disease and no one wanted to catch it.”
