Sarah Ferguson has opened up about her worst interview ever and claims that Ben Affleck was ‘rude’ throughout’ their discussion as he promoted the movie Air, which he directed
An ABC reporter has shared the real reason why Ben Affleck is one of the worst celebs she’s interviewed.
Sarah Ferguson, who has won countless awards for her work on the American network claimed Affleck, 51, was rather high up on the list of talent she was far from impressed with.
The news anchor spoke to Ben and his co-star Chris Tucker back in March 2023 when he was promoting the film Air, which he directed.
The movie focused on the origin of the Air Jordan Nike shoes but Ben appeared to be extremely bored during the interview which didn’t go down too well with Ferguson.
Throughout the interview, Ben gave short answers and often looked off-camera. The result was that just four of Sarah’s questions made it to the final broadcast.
“He was just rude, not interested, going through the motions,” Ferguson told the Sydney Morning Herald. Sarah had asked Affleck how the movie had evolved from a “white guys in business” to the story of Michael Jordan’s family. Ben responded: “It happened by my looking at the story and thinking initially, you know, knowing a little bit how these companies work, and knowing about, you know, knowing by instinct it wasn’t only white people who worked at this company who were relevant to the story.
“And I didn’t want to make that story. Luckily, Michael graciously made himself available to me, and directed me to the three people he felt were principally relevant here… and also he talked about his father and his mother.” The bombshell about Affleck’s disinterest in the interview comes amid claims that he and Jennifer Lopez are said to be finalising their divorce after two years of marriage.
The pair have not been seen together in months and have faced ongoing split rumours. The rumours spiralled when Ben splashed his cash on JLo’s birthday while she celebrated her big day without him. The 51-year-old actor purchased a new $20.5million home in Pacific Palisades, which was dubbed a ‘bachelor pad’.
It was claimed that his bachelor pad purchase was a “stab in the heart” for Jennifer. Meanwhile, recent reports claimed that Good Will Hunting actor Ben, 51, and singer JLo, 55, are going ahead with their divorce after trying for several weeks to work things out between them.
The couple’s divorce documents are said to be ‘finalized, but not yet turned in’, sources claimed to MailOnline. They said: “They finalized the divorce papers with her a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to drop them. At that time, they will release a joint statement that will say how they have much love for each other and how they fought to make it work, but couldn’t.”
