Ant and Dec hit a rough patch, being branded ‘incompetent’ as they host Limitless Win on ITV, with harsh criticism over being perceived as a flawed imitation of The Wheel.

Ant and Dec are known for hosting a wide range of TV shows such as Saturday Night Takeaway, Britain’s Got Talent and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

Ant and Dec are set to return to ITV with one of their hit shows. Reports have emerged today revealing the return date of the game show Limitless Win, which first premiered on ITV in 2022.

The show sees contestants answering questions to win an unlimited amount of money and it has now been reported that the fourth series will grace our screens in early January 2025.

The future of the show beyond this point remains uncertain, as it was only commissioned for a third and fourth series back in the summer of 2023.

Speaking about the upcoming 2025 series, Ant McPartlin shared: “We’re so happy that Limitless Win has been such a hit with the viewers, we love making it.

“It’s such a thrilling and emotional roller coaster of a show we can’t wait to make more.”

Following its debut two years ago, the quiz show did receive a mixed reception with some “confused” viewers struggling to follow the format.

One said on Twitter: “Switching to #TheWheel now because wtf is this format on #LimitlessWin about?”

Another wrote: “#LimitlessWin only watched 10 minutes and already totally confused.”

And a third posted: “#LimitlessWin this format is incredibly complicated! Wtf is going on? It’s easier to understand Only Connect!”

This news follows the farewell of Ant and Dec from their long-running show Saturday Night Takeaway, which concluded its 20th series in April 2024 with special guests including Girls Aloud and McFly.

The hit show’s finale captivated an average of 4.6m viewers, surpassing the 2023 finale which drew in an average of 4.3m.

Ant and Dec expressed their heartfelt gratitude on Instagram with a joint statement as the series concluded.

They wrote: “Thank you, thank you, thank you. To all the guests, crew, and most importantly you at home who have made the last 20 series so incredible to be part of. We are so grateful to everyone who tuned in and we couldn’t have done it without you.”
