Former glamour model Katie Price has told her fans that she is now on a mission to quit vaping after getting addicted over the past year
Katie Price has revealed that she’s got a ‘big confession’ to make after lashing out following her court appearance yesterday.
Taking to her stories today, the former glamour model, 46, told her fans that she has been addicted to vapes over the past year, but is on a mission to finally give it up.
“I have a big confession to make, and if there’s anyone out there who wants to join me, do it. I’ve been vaping for a year, and it’s no good for you – especially when my mum has had a lung transplant. It’s disrespectful doing this in front of my mum.
“I’ve decided that today is the day I am throwing this battery, chemical, addictive, horrible thing away. I am now doing vapes no more from today. I’ve got the strength to get rid of them. Join me. It’s going in the bin, that’s it. I’ve cleared all of my vapes out of the car and everything.”
It comes after the latest hearing related to Katie’s bankruptcy was adjourned so she can attend a “private interview” over her finances. The former glamour model was due to face questions from barristers in a specialist bankruptcy court on Tuesday in a hearing known as a public examination. But a judge adjourned the hearing after the 46-year-old’s lawyers asked for her to attend a “private interview” with lawyers representing the trustee of her bankruptcies.
Bertie Beor-Roberts, for Price, said: “We are asking the court to adjourn the examination generally.” He continued: “The general purpose is to permit Price to attend a private interview with the trustee and then to continue to engage constructively.”
Chief Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Nicholas Briggs agreed to the adjournment and asked Price whether she would give an undertaking to the court that she would attend the private interview on September 24.
Katie, who arrived at Rolls Building wearing an all-black outfit and kept herself hidden with oversized black sunglasses, replied: “I do.” As she left court, Price told journalists: “I hope you reporters write a good story today, won’t you, all the bulls**t that you write, scumbags.”
She arrived two hours before in a black cab and didn’t speak to journalists on the way in. Her hearing had a surprise guest with her ex-husband Alex Reid who was seen arriving at the court in a white T-shirt and casual pink shorts. Alex was married to Katie between 2010 and 2012.
The Mucky Mansion star was first declared bankrupt in 2019 and then again in March this year due to a tax debt of more than £750,000. Despite the bankruptcy, she enjoyed many holidays and cosmetic procedures and was recently arrested at Heathrow Airport upon her return from Turkey.
She went to Istanbul to undergo a £10,000 facelift and some dental work and had a bandage wrapped around her wounded face when she was arrested. The former glamour model was travelling with her son Harvey, 21, and her boyfriend, JJ Slater at the time. Police were waiting for the mum-of-five at Heathrow after she failed to attend a bankruptcy hearing.
A judge issued an arrest warrant when she failed to attend a previous court date. She was told at a hearing on August 9 that she must attend Tuesday’s hearing with “no ifs, no buts” or face arrest again.
At the time, Katie wrote: “I am aware that I am about to be detained at the airport which is obviously what the courts feel is necessary. I do hope of course for my sons sake who is with me that they will allow some dignity and protection for at least his sake as this will be extremely disturbing for him to see. Whilst I understand the importance and severity of the matter I do feel like I am being treated like a criminal.”
